Composition: the painted light is placed directly in the center of the photo, drawing the viewer's attention to it
Contrast: The light is extremely vibrant with a variety of colors, which contrasts from the darker background of the image. This illuminates the light and makes the image pop overall
I selected this photo because its bright and vibrant colors provide a happy and bright mood whenever I view this photo
Texture: The water drops on the table create great texture. The defined water droplets compared to the table stand out in the picture, and are so textured that you can almost tell what they'd look like in real life, and what they'd feel like.
Black and White: Because the image is in black and white, it gives the photo depth. It is clear on what components are lighter and darker, which also leaves the water droplets to stand out immensely.
I like this image because the images of the water droplets from the rain, which are also in black in white, creates a gloomy and relaxed mood. It is also able to tell a story about how rainy days can be relaxing and calm, if you look at them in a certain way- therefore it gives rain a more positive meaning.
Point of View: For this photo, I took it at a lower point of view and had my camera facing up. I did this to capture a lot more of the sky, rather than taking the picture at a head-on point of view, where the ground would be showing just as much as the sky. I wanted the picture to be focused more on the sky because of its beautiful and differentiating colors , which is why the image was taken at this specified angle.
Editing Processes: By increasing the saturation and temperature levels of this photo, it makes the colored sky pop a lot more, giving it a cooler and more interesting appeal.
I enjoy this picture because looking at the sky reminds me of my grandmother. She always talks about the beauty of nature and seeing a pretty sky with pink and purple tones in it makes me think of her and all of the memories we have.
